Press Release : Q2 Impact Partners With USAID For Papua New Guinea Peace Project
Washington D.C.___Q2 Impact is proud to announce our partnership with United States Agency for International Development (USAID), for the five-year (2024-2029) $26 million Papua New Guinea Peace Project.
Q2 Impact CEO and Founder Neelima Grover said, “We are excited to work with USAID for the peoples of Papua New Guinea for peacebuilding based on our 26-years of experience mitigating conflicts, building peace, and partnering with youth and women to implement data driven solutions.”
Working with the USAID Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu Country Office in Port Moresby, the project aims to enhance the ability of communities, civil society organizations, and local institutions in Papua New Guinea to work in partnership to prevent and peacefully respond to conflict, and further increase the safe, meaningful participation of traditionally marginalized populations such as youth, women, and persons with disabilities across society. The project will achieve this by facilitating community-led conflict prevention and peacebuilding initiatives, strengthening inclusive engagement in governance, and supporting sustainable and equitable livelihoods.
Q2 Impact and our partners, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), Conciliation Resources, and the People’s Action for Rural Development (PARD), will apply a cross-cutting inclusion lens, ensuring youth, women, persons with disabilities and marginalized populations are active partners in every stage of solution making for peace within an integrated systems approach.
