Communications and Executive Office Intern
My name is Nelia-Sol White and I’m from Woodbridge, Virginia! I graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor’s in Communications and Digital Studies and a Bachelor’s in Creative Writing. I’ve always been interested in the digital landscape and I want to tackle the complexity of online communications.
For Q2 Impact, I served as the main point of contact for internal communications for the company, I provided website and graphic design support, I managed and posted to the company’s social media accounts, and I provided marketing support for the promotion of CGDV’s Understanding COVID-19 Across the Globe data challenge.
This internship was very hands-on and it gave me so much experience in different aspects of communications like internal/external, public relations, marketing, and social media. It helped me understand what I really loved about communications and that I want to pursue a career in public relations. I learned so much from this internship and I hope to craft a career around helping companies and clients bring attention to their events, brands, and goals.
Q2 Impact feels like a family. The company culture is warm and friendly and I was always able to ask others questions without feeling intimidated or like I was bothering someone. The environment is highly collaborative and welcoming and I’ll miss everyone when I leave.
