Q2 Impact’s Work Featured in USAID Story

In northwestern Turkmenistan, Q2 Impact’s work supporting improved waste management has moved the country towards international standards and a more sustainable future. In honor of Earth Day, USAID shared the story of Dinara, a young mother and employee at a new Q2 Impact-supported waste management facility.

Two years ago, 30-year-old Dinara was unemployed in her rural village in northeastern Turkmenistan when she heard about a job opportunity at a new waste processing facility nearby. With two children to support, she didn’t think twice about the implications of the new plant for her community; she was just excited to earn a living for her family.

Now that the new facility has been operating for two years, she sees that the impact of her work reaches much further – to her children’s generation and beyond.
