USAID/Uganda manages a portfolio valued at roughly $400 million annually. The Mission supports improvements in the health and education sectors; promotes economic growth; supports environmental conservation; and advances democracy, human rights and good governance. Special programs are focused in the post-conflict regions of northern Uganda.
USAID/Uganda has long been an Agency leader in Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) as a value-for-money approach to development challenges in Uganda. It was the first Mission to formally consolidate CLA into its program and internal operations, and its CLA-related innovations have been replicated elsewhere in the Agency. It is committed to achieving ever higher levels of CLA performance because it has proven to enhance program performance. The Country Development Strategy Statement (CDCS) 2016-2021 emphasizes integration to accelerate development outcomes, demanding greater resolve in using CLA.
Continuing Partnership with USAID/Uganda
Building on achievements of the successful predecessor project, The Learning Contract, Q2 Impact works in partnership with USAID/Uganda to strengthen overall CLA performance which will in turn enhance program impact to accelerate USAID’s transition out of foreign assistance in Uganda.
We provide a broad range of technical assistance, professional development, logistics, small grants and other support to assist USAID staff and implementing partners. We also strengthen CLA within host country organizations in the private, non-governmental and private sectors as well as other key stakeholders.
